Matt, Carolyn, Isabelle, Josh | portraits in the park

Isabelle is six.
She likes puppies and ballet and twirling and singing the theme song from the movie, ‘never ending story’. On the day of this session, her front teeth were very wobbly & her mum was really happy we were taking some pictures of her smile before it changed.

Josh was almost two on the day of this session.
He is a gorgeous, happy boy but he cried for the first half of our session because he wanted his mum and dad to pick him up. It was actually adorable to see how his parents could be right in front of him, but if he wasn’t in their arms, then they were still too far away. Eventually he relaxed… looking for frogs in the pond, making his sister giggle when he kept asking, “where’s the frogs?”… and making us fish his red car out of the water when he decided it would be a nice idea to send it into the pond.

I love that when I get a family in front of my camera, a piece of their story is captured forever in pictures. A child’s smile before the teeth fell out, a toddlers pout, a much loved toy puppy… little things that pass us by too quickly.
