harvest

There are so many reasons I am grateful for these days. I harvest them like the most important fruit of our lives. At the beginning of the season of motherhood it seemed that there would be so many days to fill with my children, but the truth is there will never be enough & although the days are certainly full, we don’t really ‘fill’ them.. we experience them & enjoy them, living each one meaningfully. It is meaningful to me that as a family we build connections, that we live creatively & that I inspire my children to see the beauty in their days & to always harvest it..

to inspire them to see that joy is found when we harvest from the place where we already are… that right in the midst of our ordinary days, we have so much to be thankful for, so much good to gather…

I harvest joy…

when they play…

and when I am grateful for the view from my windows..

and in the many things that travel home from the park in pockets, because they are going to make things out of them..

Often when we’re on our way somewhere, they will just want to stop & explore something along the way.. & I know one of the best things I can give them is my patience… when I let them follow their interests & explore the things around them, without rushing them along.. something wonderful always takes place…

It’s a matter of seeing the world through their eyes…

where the little things are the big things…

and the journey to get somewhere is…

just as important …

as the place you are going to…

Every day & every place is a canvas if we choose to see it that way….

I am focusing on all the little things that mean so much to them… all the ways they create their world…

wishing you, your own creative days & grateful harvesting.
