Day 20 | January photo a day project 2016

Ava. Age nine. You make books. You have a talent for writing. You are entrepreneurial and enthusiastic. You dream up projects & have tunnel vision until you see them through. You are ordered and organised. You love one on one time with people. You no longer like the kids menu at restaurants and prefer to order...

Day 19 | January photo a day project 2016

She didn’t have her first hair cut for years because her curls were so beautiful & at the time her hair was falling somewhat straight from the top with golden ringlets at the ends, so I just didn’t know if her first hair cut would be the end of the curls. It turned out that...

Day 18 | January photo a day project 2016

The girls put together a show of dances and musical acts to perform for the family staying at their Uncle Jesse’s place. At the last moment Anouk announced that she needed some orange paper. Seeing my daughters standing...

Day 15 | January photo a day project 2016

Our niece Feather lives in a town that is 793 Km’s away from us, so we don’t get to see her very often. When we do get to see her, Ava and Anouk soak up every experience they can with her. They play with her, hold her hands, dance with her, feed her breakfast etc....

Day 14 | January photo a day project 2016

The four of us spent the week sharing a room at my brothers place in a country town near Byron Bay. The matress the girls slept on was right beside our bed, yet by morning one or both of them would still have climbed into bed with us. I never get sick of this sight. One of...

Christmas at home

A few pics of our Christmas tree & mantle this year. The art that comes home in my children’s school bags gets stuck up on the wall. The Christmas books are piled on a little chair by the tree. The tree was mostly decorated by our 6 year old while our 9 year old turned...

The Blues Preachers

My dad (John Morris) is a professional blues musician and his blues duo are ‘THE BLUES PREACHERS‘ (consisting of Brother John on guitar, banjo & vocals and Captain Bluetongue on harmonica & vocals). Last month they filmed a music video for their song ‘Free Train Agreement’ with film maker Sam Brumby at the Train Works Rail museum....
