Day 15 | January photo a day project 2016

15th jan

Our niece Feather lives in a town that is 793 Km’s away from us, so we don’t get to see her very often.
When we do get to see her, Ava and Anouk soak up every experience they can with her. They play with her, hold her hands, dance with her, feed her breakfast etc.

While staying at Feather’s place last week, I couldn’t find Anouk and Feather in the afternoon. I found them in Feather’s cot with the blinds down. Feather was tired and Anouk was trying to give her some quiet time and read her a book. Feather was standing up and chatting with her cute little 21 month old voice, “Look at this Anouk, it’s a flower, colours! pink!”. Anouk remained focused and gently continued reading until eventually Feather lay down next to her.

I saw a glimpse of my own baby developing her ability to mother in a gentle way.
