I highly recommend silk for creative play.

Play Silks like the one’s below are an open ended addition to children’s imaginative & pretend play. The play silks can be whatever a child wants them to be.

They can be a cape or wings or placed on the floor to become water, sand or grass to create a scene for animals or themselves…

They can become dress ups, they can be twirled or wrapped around or hidden behind or danced with. All you need is imagination & they are perfect for babies through to older children.

I ordered my silks from ‘Beneath the Rowan Tree’ & I am really happy with them. I have now also just discovered this Australian mother who sells play silks through her business playsilkplayground.  Here’s a great link to some idea’s for how playsilks can be used.
