Carolyn & Andy | pregnancy

I met Carolyn 15 years ago, on day one of a truly wonderful journey. It was our first day of college.

We were both 19 turning 20 and we were both very excited about the prospect of living our dream of studying dance full time. We were instant friends. We both took 4 years to complete our degrees. We both majored in choreography. We spent countless nights in the college studios watching the clock tick past midnight while we worked on projects & dance pieces….. creating movement & writing music & wearing out our feet & our bodies & our tap shoes, filling notebooks with ideas & notation, doing what we loved to do more than anything. Endless conversations shared about faith & dreams & life. We thought going home to sleep was a nuisance because all we wanted to do was stay in the studio & keep creating. After graduation we kept working together for a couple of fun years… teaching, freelancing, creating. It was a really good chapter with memories I treasure.

I am so excited now to see Carolyn & Andy begin this new chapter in their lives. I’m so glad we took the time to take some pictures of firstly how amazing Carolyn looks & secondly their contentment &  joy as they wait to meet their baby, when once again it will be day one of a truly wonderful journey.
