I can’t even tell you how much I love photographing families! I love that behind the pictures I am taking, there are so many other stories that lead them to this moment. Every family has a story.. the stories of how they met… the stories of them dreaming of a life together… the birth stories.. etc. I know a little of this couple’s story because Pete & I went to college with them, way back before they were the family they are today, back when Sarah was studying design & Mike was a music student… right back where this story began… but what’s important when I am taking pictures, is the part of their story that is happening right now. Here’s ‘part one’ of some pictures from this families recent photo session, where their story ‘right now’ looks a little like this…
Their eldest is named Isaac & he’s sweet & smart & sensitive & only a little bit cheeky…
..and this is Lucy… she too is clever & sweet … & pretty & happy & helpful…
and their third child is a new litttle sister for Isaac & Lucy… her name is Claire
‘Claire, you are joining a family where the fun has already started, you are going to be loved to bits & have the blessing of being part of a family who really value each other above any other thing this world could offer’…
(although Isaac might argue that he also values his train set & the three little guys he tucked into bed & asked me to photograph)…
