I'm Lisa. Sydney based family and lifestyle photographer.

I have a background in the arts. I originally studied visual merchandising; I loved working with the arrangement of things in space and bringing a picture together. I grew up with a strong music influence, as my dad is a musician. I went to college at Sydney’s Wesley Institute to complete 4 years of full time dance studies. In my second year I realised the part of dance that inspired me was the visual, musical & narrative aspects & I applied to major in choreography. I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Dance Composition.

I live in Sydney with my husband Pete & our two young daughters Ava & Anouk. I love to work creatively & to document things that are beautiful or meaningful to me. Pursuing photography was a natural progression that brought together many things I love. I am self taught, though Pete studied photography many years ago, so he answered a lot of my questions about how to use a camera when I was first starting out.

I began photographing clients in late 2009. I specialise in custom lifestyle portraiture for children & families. I'm also available for private commissions and commercial photography.

I am inspired by childhood, people, 50’s and 70’s vintage, daily life, family life, spaces, urban lifestyle, pretty light, anything ordinary & beautiful at once.
